  • What is Dermal Filler?
Dermal fillers are a gel-like liquid injectable substance, made of Hyaloronic Acid. Also known as Hualyronan, which naturally occurs in our bodies and helps us to maintain healthy skin. It's main purpose is to restore/add lost volume, rejuvenate, hydrate and plump your skin. They also work to soften lines and wrinkles, while adding contour and shape.
  • Are Botox and Dermal Fillers the Same Thing?
They seem similar, but in reality they're two very different things. Botox is the short name for botulinum toxin. It is called a ‘toxin’ because in very high quantities it can act as a ‘neurotoxin’ in the body, blocking the action of certain nerve types. In aesthetics, it is injected directly into the tiny muscles of facial expression to relax the muscle tension on the skin, where they create lines with age; this then relaxes the lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to relax muscles that pull down on the face, for example in the neck muscles, to give a lifting effect. Likewise, it can also be used to block sweat glands, so can be used for treatment of excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis). Migraines can also be treated effectively with Botox injected into several points in the scalp. Dermal fillers are a Hyaloronis injectables, designed to add volume to tissue. Fat transfer might also be considered a filler. Generally speaking, fillers can be injected into areas to replace lost volume and revitalise the skin. There are many different consistencies and forms of fillers, for use in different areas, and the technology is improving rapidly.
  • How Long Does a Dermal Filler Last?
This depends on the product used. Everyone will experience results differently and individual results will always vary. We are all unique individuals after all! Generally speaking, you can expect Revolax dermal filler to last between 9-12 months. And Juvedrerm dermal fillers last between 12-24 months. Lip fillers usually wear off faster as there is much more muscle movement.
  • What is a Botox Party?
What are Botox parties? A Botox party is an event for a group of friends (min of 3) that schedule the injectable procedures to be done at the same time from the comfort of the hostesse's home, while enjoying each other’s company. If you’re on the hook to plan the next girls night/day in but seem to be out of ideas, here’s one for you – throw a Botox Party! That’s right you can inject fun and Filler into one fabulous night/day with your girlfriends. It sounds like a good idea doesn’t it? A party that will please all of your friends, add a touch of luxury to proceedings and leave everyone looking younger. After all who can beat the hostess that gives the gift of youth? Answer: The hostess that actually cares about her guests! For decades women have enjoyed pamper days, spas and girlie get togethers where they leave with polished nails, new kitchen Tupperware or treats to make them feel gorgeous. The Botox party is officially a step up from this, a bit pricier than a mani- pedi, but guests leave looking like a whole new woman. There are even more fabulous benefits of having Botox parties- mega discounts on treatments, skip the long and boring journeys to a salon and you won't be all by your lonely self there! Remember! Botox is a prescription drug, it’s prescribed and prescriptions are ONLY given to those who complete a full medical consultation to ensure it’s SAFE for them and their bodies. Which will of course be done prior to the booking. Nicole Kidman once declared that the best beauty secret was- to "fall in love". Ask a growing number of ladies the same question right now, and they'll likely sing a very different song: Botox parties!

  • What is Profphilo?
PROFHILO has been described as the 'holy grail of skincare, containing one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid (64mg/2ml) on the market! 'Cure' wrinkles instead of filling them, boost and hydrate your skin, as well as tightening the face. WHO IS IT FOR? Profhilo is an excellent treatment choice if you are suffering from skin laxity, signs of skin ageing, looking to increase the levels of collagen in your skin, or simply looking for an overall improvement in skin quality, firmness and a lifted face look in general. HOW DOES IT WORK? Administed via special 'bio aesthetic points', Profhilo works by stimulating four different types of collagen and elastin, the building blocks of youthful, plump skin. The slow release of the high hyaluronic acid concentration results in a tightening, brightening, and lifting effect. Profhilo is not a bio-revitaliser, skin booster, or dermal filler and rather, has a category all to itself: Profhilo is a bioremodeller - literally remodelling the skin from within. HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED? PROFHILO is administered as a 2 session course, 14 days apart to maximise results. Extreme ageing may need 3 sessions. To maintain your beautiful results, a repeated 2 course session is recommended every 6 months. ARE THE RESULTS INSTANT? No. Unlike dermal fillers which are instant, you can expect to see results slowly over a period of 4-6 weeks. HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST? The effects of PROFHILO lasts approximately 6 months - hence a 2 course session is recommended twice a year to maintain your results.
  • What is the Difference between Russian Technique and Standard Lip Fillers?
Russians are considered to be one of the most beautiful nationalities. Many Russian women portray thick lips without the dreaded “duck pout” look. The Russian Lip filler technique shapes the lips into a subtle heart shape with more volume near the center. The Difference Unlike traditional lip filler, the product is injected vertically starting at the base of the lip and drawing the product outward toward the lip border. Rather than starting from the lip border and working inward, the injector works the product from the inside out. It tends to lift the lip rather than add excessive volume so it’s ideal for lip filler newbies or those seeking a natural finish. You will also notice a ‘flatter’ appearance as height is the goal, rather than plumpness. (Although both can be achieved if that is what you desire!) Timing Creating the Russian lip requires double the amount of time that the standard lip filler technique takes. Depositing tiny droplets of product between the lip tissue takes time, resulting in a smooth uniform finish, with that heart shape effect.

Your body may be breaking down the Hyaloronic Acid filler quickly. ... You may need more filler than was injected or you may need to use a denser filler.
